Wired for what’s next.
I’m Brian Shaw — systems architect, automation builder, and technical writer. I take the hard-won lessons from real operational work and reshape them into systems, AI workflows, and clear writing that move ideas from rough concept to working result.
Built for clarity, not noise
TechTailor is where systems thinking meets implementation. The goal: make complicated work legible, faster, and more durable.
Workflow design
Map the handoffs, remove dead weight, and make execution easier for humans and machines.
AI integration
Use AI where it creates leverage, not spectacle. Prompts, agents, and tooling need operating discipline.
Technical communication
Explain complex systems in language decision-makers and builders can both act on.
Begin with the end in mind
Work the maze backwards. Anyone who has solved a printed maze knows it’s more straightforward to start at the exit. The same applies to systems — begin with where you want to be, then trace the path back to where you are now.
How the work gets done
- Define the destination. Where does this need to end up? What does done look like?
- Cycle back to now. Understand the current state without pretending it’s something it isn’t.
- Inventory what’s available. Map the systems, tools, and resources already in play.
- Chart the journey. Build the path from here to there — practical, sequenced, and durable.
